The rivalries between WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal are now nearly legendary in the web-development community. With rampant advancement in all three technologies, it is becoming really difficult to choose one platform over other. WordPress, while being highly popular among bloggers and amateur web developers, is not that favored by serious web developers building large-scale websites.
